As we gather around our tables to celebrate Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to each and every one of you in the Corps of Cadets. Your commitment to Honor, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Compassion, and Gratitude is truly commendable.
To our Cadets, thank you for your dedication, resilience, and daily commitment to ANA. Your growth and determination inspire us all. To our faculty, TAC Officers, and staff, your tireless efforts to mentor, teach, and guide these young leaders are the cornerstone of our school. Your devotion makes a meaningful impact that extends far beyond the arch at the entrance to our Academy.
To our families, your unwavering support and encouragement form the foundation that allows our Cadets to thrive. We are grateful for the trust you place in us as we work together to nurture their potential. In the spirit of this holiday, I am thankful for the dedication you display day in and day out. Your hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to duty do not go unnoticed. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or being a brother to your fellow Cadet, your resilience and sense of duty shine brightly.
Thank you for embodying the values of the words on the wall. Your service is a testament to the strength of character and the selflessness that defines the Corps. As we reflect on the blessings of the past year, please know that your contributions are at the forefront of our thoughts.
On behalf of the entire Commandant’s Office, thank you for being an integral part of the Army and Navy Academy family. We wish you a joyful Thanksgiving filled with camaraderie, warmth, and the company of loved ones. May you find moments of rest and rejuvenation as you prepare for the remainder of the holiday season.

We are excited to invite you to our first cultural event of the school year on Thursday, December 5th after Mess III. Professors Cruz and Scherr are organizing Las Posadas which will showcase our Spanish, ESOL, International, and Guitar Cadets.
Las Posadas is a memorable Latino holiday celebrated during the Christmas season. It's a tradition that reenacts Joseph and Mary's journey in Bethlehem, looking for shelter. Families sing traditional Spanish songs, knock on neighbors’ doors, enjoy a meal, and then move on to other homes in the neighborhood. It is a time to celebrate love and friendship with one's family and community.
After the Las Posadas procession, we'll enjoy Pan Dulce and hot chocolate. We hope you'll join us to appreciate the music and our outstanding Cadets performing the Posadas. Ole!

Yesterday, we shared a press release celebrating Coach Nehemiah Brunson's varsity football leadership. The team and Coach Brunson celebrated Coach B's 50th win this season and concluded a remarkable season with an 8-3 record. The team's journey ended in the D3 playoffs with a hard-fought game against Eastlake, where they fell 21-7. Despite the loss, the Warriors displayed commendable spirit and determination throughout the season.
Nehemiah Brunson, who joined Army and Navy Academy as Head Coach in 2015, has been instrumental in revitalizing the Warriors' football program. Known for his strategic acumen and ability to inspire his players, Coach Brunson's coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
"Reaching 50 wins is a tremendous honor. Each victory is a testament to the hard work our team puts in day in and day out. This milestone isn't just mine; it's a reflection of the dedication of every player and staff member who has been part of this journey," said Coach Nehemiah Brunson.
Warrior basketball is already shining on the court. In our first game of the season against Patrick Henry, ANA was down by 4 points 48-44 with 10 seconds left in the game when Yanler Ramos made a 3-point shot to close the deficit to one point. Patrick Henry's player got fouled and made one foul shot. ANA, now down 49-47 with 6 seconds left in the game, went the length of the court to Rommel Nelson who made a 3-point shot just behind the arc as the buzzer sounded to win the game 50-49. Go Warriors!
