Every Thursday, we bring you the latest news from campus - spotlighting Cadet achievements, athletic updates, upcoming events, and important announcements from across the Academy.
The Weekly Warrior is a great way to stay connected and celebrate everything that makes our community strong. Feel free to share it with family and friends, and remember, you can always find past issues on our website.
I hope this message finds you well. As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 academic year, we are beginning the important process of course selection for our Cadets. At the Army and Navy Academy, our commitment is to provide each student with a rigorous, well-rounded academic experience that reflects their individual interests, goals, and graduation requirements.
Over the past several weeks, our school counselors have met one-on-one with each Cadet to explore course options thoughtfully. These conversations have been guided by your son’s current academic progress, teacher recommendations, and his future academic and career aspirations.
This week, you will receive an email from your Cadet’s counselor outlining a proposed course schedule for the upcoming year. Should you have any questions or if you would like to meet to discuss your son’s academic plan in greater detail, please don’t hesitate to contact his school counselor directly by scheduling a meeting through the Calendly invite link in the email.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. We’re excited for another year of growth and achievement at the Academy.
Warmest regards, Dr. Patrizia Zary, Dean of Academics

College Connections & Campus Visits
This month, our Counseling Team welcomed several college representatives to campus to speak with Cadets during lunch about the admissions process and campus life. Visiting institutions included:
United States Air Force Academy
Texas A&M University
Mississippi State University
In addition, on April 17, international senior Cadets had the opportunity to visit California State University, San Marcos. During the field trip, they attended an admissions presentation, toured the campus, and enjoyed CSUSM’s 22nd Annual International Fair.
These experiences are part of our continued effort to support Cadets as they explore their college options and plan for life beyond the Academy.
Spring Sports Update
Big congrats to our Warrior Tennis team, who qualified for CIF as the 10th seed this past week and traveled to Christian High School for a playoff match. The Warriors now await their next match-up and look to finish the season strong, led by twins Michael and Matteo Morell, the league doubles champions, and Minh Nguyen, the number two singles player in the league.
Our Warrior Swim team heads to Wagner Pool Friday, May 2, for the league championships at 3:00 pm, and then will get ready for CIF matchups.
Warrior Lacrosse closes out the season Friday, May 2 at home vs Classical Academy at 5:00 pm, which should be a great matchup against a league power and always brings out the best in our Warriors.
Our Warrior Track team had a great showing at the league championships the last two weeks and is now gearing up for the conference championships next week on May 8th.
Our Warrior athletics teams would like to thank Yale, Georgetown, Fordham, Arizona State, and Portland State for stopping by and inquiring about our great student athletes and seeing what they have to offer.

Through structured training and hands-on practice, Cadets learn proper form, safety procedures, equipment handling, and shooting techniques. The program often includes competitive opportunities that enhance teamwork and sportsmanship. Participating in archery helps Cadets build self-confidence through measurable progress and goal-setting.
