Hello Warrior Families, Team Members, and Academy Supporters,
This week, we welcomed back our athletes, ESOL students, and Cadre leadership. It's great to see familiar and new faces!
Today we are saying goodbye to Operations and Security team member Saqr "Hawk" Fouad. Hawk joined ANA 5 years ago and has always had a ready smile and upbeat attitude with Cadets, faculty, and staff. He will be moving on to a global security firm. We will miss you, Hawk. Please come back and visit us!
If your son is a new Cadet, he is required to stay on campus and participate in New Cadet Training from August 16-18. For more details, please refer to the New Cadet Training Daily Schedule or connect with your TAC Officer or the Commandant of Cadets, Roland Miraco.
Thank you for your commitment to the Warrior community!
The remaining Move-in dates are:
Aug14 - 8 am New Cadets
Aug19 - 8 am All remaining Cadets
Make sure you have completed the Guided Registration process before arriving:
You can view details such as the packing list, information on Chromebook issuing, and information on where to stay on the Guided Registration page.
Parking is always limited around campus so please arrive as close to 8 am as you can.
All Cadets will receive an updated Cadet Guidebook when they return to campus. This book is your lifeline throughout your time at the Academy. Here you will find information on policies, procedures, or any other rules that the Academy requires you to abide by. Our goal for the Warrior Battalion is as follows: Foster a culture of greatness and effort across the campus that works to create future leaders as well as to ensure that the class of 2025 leaves the Academy in a better state than when they started, so that they can truly pass something on to the class of 2026.
As simple as this sounds, the reality is that it will not be as easy as some may expect.
To make these changes we will need the full force of every leader on campus. Never forget that your ability to lead and your competence are not decided by your position, but by how you use that position.
Read the entire letter here from Ethan Shahdadi, Cadet LTC, Battalion Commander and Kelly McKinley, Cadet CSM, Battalion Sergeant Major.
To document you and your student’s understanding of the expectations, responsibilities, and prohibitions related to participation in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), the US Army Cadet Command is requiring parent signatures on a new consent form. Review, sign, and return the attached form to ANA's LTC Curby Scarborough at your earliest convenience. Forms are also available for signature on all remaining Move-In days.
Please join the Stricker Family and Army and Navy Academy on September 7 at 1 pm to remember 2024 graduate, Caleb Stricker. Please RSVP using this form. Share this graphic with anyone you feel would like to attend.
Join your ANA Patrons Association (ANAPA) community during Back to School Weekend for Beach Bash 2024 on September 14. Register early so you don't miss out! Take a look at pictures from last year's event on our Flickr channel here.
Our 2024 Coffee and Colors breakfast events are restarting on September 27. This is an opportunity to start your morning with a patriotic heart. Salute the flag and hear the Atkinson Warrior Band play alongside Academy President, MG Peggy Combs, faculty, and staff. Breakfast refreshments will be provided. No RSVP is required.
